Fires in the area

We have recently seen an increase of grass fires in the area specifically in the Melyn Mynach Park area of Gorseinon. We are asking residents to be extra vigilant when dealing with items which are capable of starting fires and to report any suspicious activity or deliberate fire setting to us as wild grass fires can cause serious damage to local areas, property and wildlife along with endangering the safety of fire crews who are called to extinguish the fires. There can also be criminal consequences for persons found to be setting fires deliberately. 

We are also asking parents to have a discussion with their children in relation to fires and fire safety.
